Maasai Poly plants over 3000 trees in an effort to achieve TVET greening agenda

The Maasai National Polytechnic  participated in the tree planting session during the opening of Nairobi Region Athletics from 16th-17th May where 3000 trees were planted by the polytechnic staffs, students and the stakeholders.

 

 

All Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVETs) across the country engaged in a week long tree planting exercise that started on May 5, 2025 and ended May 9, 2025 with Dr. Muoria launching the exercise at Kiambu National Polytechnic.

Dr. Muoria said that the state department of TVET targets to plant 3.5 million trees between the months of May and June during this long rain season with the remaining to be planted during the short rain season in order to achieve the annual target.

TVET target as a state department which is 5 million annually and contributing to the 15 billion tree campaign by the president.
