The highly anticipated hockey pools have been released, setting the stage for a showdown as the 2025 Brookside KSSSA National Term One Games head to Mombasa.

Schools across Kenya are gearing up for a thrilling contest, with national pride and championship glory at stake.

The boys’ category promises high-intensity action, with Pool A shaping up as a battleground of giants.

Nairobi’s Hospital Hill will test their mettle against Nyanza’s Ringa Boys, StAntony’s from Rift Valley and Coast’s St Charles will be in the same pool.

In Pool B, Western’s Musingu, a school with a rich hockey legacy, leads the charge. However, they will face stiff opposition from Central’s MPESA Foundation and Eastern’s Matiliku Boys, both eager to make a statement. Coast’s Mnyenzeni, buoyed by local support, will aim to cause major upsets.

The girls’ division is equally competitive. Pool A features Coast’s St. Charles, who will look to dominate on home soil.

However, they must contend with Eastern’s AIC Nyayo’s tactical prowess, Rift Valley’s St. Joseph’s Girls’ resilience, and Nairobi’s Mwiki Girls’ attacking threat.

In Pool B, host school St. John’s (Coast 2) is expected to mount a strong challenge, but they will have their hands full against Nyanza’s Ng’iya Girls, a team known for its aggressive play.

Western’s Tigoi and Central’s MPESA Foundation round out a formidable group where every match will be a fight.

As teams finalize their preparations, the atmosphere is building for what promises to be a fiercely contested tournament.

With national titles on the line and a chance to etch their names in history, expect nothing short of fireworks when the first whistle blows in Mombasa.
