Keep your children off gambling during holiday, parents told

KUPPET Kisii Branch Executive Secretary Joseph Abincha. He has asked parents to keep children away from gambling.

Parents have been asked to guard their children against indulging in things like gambling that distract and distance them from school work.

Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Executive Secretary Joseph Abincha said that children are playful by nature and asked teachers and parents to guide them on the suitable activities to involve themselves during the holiday.

“We teachers know that we have only physical holidays but our brains are tied in the care and moulding our students when they are in and outside school,” he said, asking parents to work with teachers and Nyumba Kumi groups to monitor and report to the police any adult who might be found misleading the curious youth, especially the girls.
