The Ministry of Education (MoE) has made several changes on Principals of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. Most of these changes have been occasioned by the retirement of Principals or the need to re-energize service delivery.
Education News has established that at Keroka TTI, Dennis Obobe has taken over from Haron Maosa who retired recently. Obobe was the immediate former Principal of Diraja TVC in Kisii County, and was replaced by Makori Getemi at his previous station.
Makori was earlier heading West Mugirango TVC in Nyamira County while on the other hand Maronga, who was the Deputy Principal at Kiamwanza TVC, has been promoted and posted to West Mugirango TVC as the new Principal.
At Bungoma National Polytechnic, Dr. Geoffrey Murunga from Kisiwa TVC has taken over from Dr. Rosebella Chukwu. The institution has recently been hit by a wave of student strikes in the recent past, which perhaps precipitated this action.
The fate of Dr. Chukwu was not known by the time of filing this story. Dr. Murunga on the other hand has been replaced by the Bunyala TVC Principal, Emmanuel Wamalwa. Wamalwa was succeeded by Juma Wasilwa.
