Christopher Khaemba, Co-Founder and Director of Nova Pioneer, has been named one of the ten finalists for the 2024 Africa Education Medal. The school is ‘a Pan-African school network dedicated to nurturing innovators and leaders poised to shape the Africa’.
Khaemba’s career has been devoted to creating institutions that exemplify the potential of African education, positively influencing 20,000 students and 2,000 teachers.
The Director is a former principal of Alliance High School and the founding Dean of the African Leadership Academy in South Africa. He is widely recognized as one of Africa’s leading educators.

Additionally, Khaemba has served in the government as the executive responsible for education, youth affairs, children, culture, and social services.
Established by T4 Education and HP, this award honors visionary leaders in the education sector throughout Africa.
The Medal is awarded to individuals who have shown exceptional impact, leadership, and advocacy in the education sector.
This year, the recipient of the Africa Education Medal will be invited to the World Schools Summit in Dubai, scheduled for November 23-24.
The winner will also have the opportunity to select a school of their choice to receive membership in T4 Education’s Best School to Work programme.
This programme serves as an independent, evidence-based system that certifies schools based on their culture, helping them enhance their working environment to attract and retain top-quality teachers.
