Nyatike South Sub- county Director of Education Ombaso Oketch has underscored the importance of cohesiveness among teachers in assisting learners to achieve their goals in education pursuit.
Addressing Principals from his Sub-county during their Annual Conference in Kisumu recently, the officer said that the government uses alot of resources through NG-CDF and other sources to propel the progress of because it believes that the future of the nation depends on people with quality education.

“Adults have a big influence on youths so I ask parents and teachers to be mindful of the way they dress, talk and eat to enable them copy from the right images,” he said.

Oketch lauded the KESSHA branch chairman Evans Magembe for uniting principals from the 24 secondary schools to develop a common working strategy for growing education and co-curricular activities in the Sub-county.
The director of education presided over the election of the branch officials in which the Evans Magembe retained his post as branch chair as Samuel Singei of Kanga Onditi Secondary remained his Vice Chairman.

The post of Secretary went to Mrs Everlyne Luwiri from Olando Mixed Secondary while Treasurer will be Dorothy Otieno of Olas Mixed Secondary.
John Ogallo and Michael Odongo of Odhoch Rakuom and Sota Secondary Schools captured the seats of Deputy Secretary and Organizing Secretary.
The Chairman Evans Peter Magembe said the elected leaders will be devoted to the service of both their learners and fellow teachers in order to revive and sustain the academic glory in the Sub-county.
