Kisii County Woman Representative Doris Aburi has Condemned the brutal killing of a student from Kisii National Polytechnic Lucy Boke by attributing it to lack self-humanity and self-control among the youth.

Speaking at Igonga Secondary School in Bonchari Constituency, the Woman Representative asked youths to seek peaceful alternatives of solving differences among themselves instead of resorting to breaking the law by committing murder.

She asked all learning institutions to strengthen Guidance and Counselling departments that will direct the traumatized youths to adjust themselves to the normal living.

“Most of these youths spend much of their time away from their parents therefore they need mother and father head figures in their learning institutions to seal that the vacuum of parental intimacy to the learners,” she said.

Aburi further appealed to colleges and University to consider age in addition to professional qualifications when it comes to recruitment and replacement of Guidance and Counselling Personnel in their institutions.

Additionally, she asked children’s department to adopt the 9 months old infant whose mother was killed.
