Parents of learners at Eberege Primary School in Bomachoge Borabu Constituency have raised concern over the stalled construction of classrooms that were part of renovations meant to facelift schools in the area.
They accused area MP Obadiah Barongo of sidelining the development of some schools because they were started by his predecessor.
They advised him to concentrate on improving the education sector which will leave a lasting impression on residents instead of dwelling on politics.
“The politics season is over now. Let him come and serve us as we elected him to do so,” said Eucabeth Bochere, a resident.
Speaking at Magena town, Barongo rubbished the allegations and said that rather than politics he was laying down strategies that will boost education standards in the area.
He noted that his top priority was to connect area schools to the national electricity grid in readiness for transformation toward digital education.
The MP appealed for leniency from the affected schools and promised to complete the projects in the next allocation of the NG-CDF funds.
