Rift Valley TTI to host 11th annual international conference in September

The Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) will hold its 11th annual International Conference themed: ‘Science, Technology and Innovation in TVET for Sustainable Economic Development’ in September this year.

The conference which offers a forum for presentations on the advancement in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and Research will start from September 27 to 29 at the institution in Eldoret.

The topics to be discussed include: Agriculture and Food Security, Education and Training, Nutrition, Health and Wellness, Water, Sanitation and Environment, ICT and Emerging Technologies; and Cross Cutting.

In a memo from the institution seen by Education News, August 11 will be the deadline for submission of abstracts, while August 16 and 23 will be the deadlines for submission of full papers, and power point slides and pre-recorded videos respectively.

According to the institution’s office of Research and Design, for those who wish to present at the conference, their papers should be original or reviewed articles which have not been previously submitted elsewhere for publication and have to be submitted and presented in English.

Refereeing of the articles should be that of conventional double-blind refereeing system. Also, the style guide has to be the 7th edition for the formatting of submissions.

The presenters are also reminded to contact the publisher for clarification if one is unsure of the use of copyright material.

The conference is an international platform for Researchers and TVET practitioners, managers, industry stakeholders and students aimed at enabling them to share research findings with global experts through presentations.
