Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) Chairperson has asked members to be in the forefront in consoling some of their own whenever a calamity befalls them.
“We a re a family of one body so when one of us is hurt, all of us are affected,” said Joyce Orioko, the Kisii County KESSHA Chairperson.
Speaking at Mosocho location in Kisii County, Joyce said the fraternity had lost a great man who discharged his education duties with confidence and determination.
Orioki was leading principals from the area to mourn the late Amos Maroria at his home.
The late Maroria died last week on a fatal road accident.
During the preparations of his last send off, more than 10 principals assembled at his home to console his wife and their children.
In a short eulogy read by Jacob Wanjala, the Principal of Itibo High School, he asked for calm to prevail at Mararani Sub-county during the mourning period.
“The late Maroria was a peace loving man and we expect his last send off to be graceful,” he said.
The Chief Principal of Cardinal Otunga High School, Albert Ombiro, was among the sorrowful teachers who attended the event.
He asked the late’s widow to fit into the shoes of her husband and comfort their children as they try to come back to accept the reality of the demise of their father.
“Let us accept some of these bitter realities in life and look forward to cushion our self with courage beyond the grave for the sake of the posterity,” he said.
Untill his death, the late Amos Maroria was the principal of Tambacha High School and Chairman KESSHA Marani Sub-county.
According to the family spokesman, Shem Maroria, he will be buried on May 5, 2023.
He is survived by a widow and five children.
