A Nyabisia Secondary School learner in Nyamache division, Bobasi Constituency is nursing injuries after five teachers from the institution and a school security guard were reported to have whipped him and as a result he ended up with a damaged testicle.
This is the second incident in a raw within just a week as another student suffered the same fate after brutal beatings by his teachers from the same region.
The damaged testicle of the 19-year-old student was removed at Hema Hospital in Kisii town after a successful emergency surgery performed by the medics.
Charles Kases, the county police boss has confirmed the incident terming that the beatings and injuries the student suffered are deplorable as he promised that the culprits will be arrested and charged to ensure justice is served.
At the same time Kases has asked the witnesses to the assault of the student to record statements before the police move forward to do the arrests.
The students received the corporal punishment after he was found allegedly cheating in the on-going end of term examinations which led the teachers and the security guard escort him to a “torture chamber” in the institution and was severely beat while he was tied up.
“I begged them not to beat me up but instead have my paper cancelled if they felt that I was cheating. I also informed the teachers that I was not the only one who had access to the paper and that I had just received it, and had not even used it in answering my exam question,” the student said.
