Emining Boys celebrates winner of Kenya secondary schools athletics

The Emining community on Sunday erupted into song, dance and ululation to welcome their hero, Dennis Kiprono alias ‘ Ronni’ after emerging victorious at the just concluded Kenya Secondary School Athletics (KSSA) held in Eldoret over the weekend.

Dennis made a surprise at the national championships after a relentless finish to book the elusive position with one slot. He won the 200 metres race.

He will be represent Kenya in Lusaka Zambia in the upcoming continental race.

Speaking during heroic welcome at the school, Mogotio  Member of Parliament Reuben Kiborek who joined the school fraternity to celebrate his performance, said his win was a monumental step to celebrate budding talents in his constituency.

The Legistlative applauded efforts and strides made by the school to produce all round students and promised that he will ensure schools in the area thrive in all endevors.

“Mogotio Constituency is indisputably endowed with talents that if aptly utilized will continue to put us in the global scene.

“The recent announcement of Nelly Cheboi as CNN hero and now our Emining High School national champion affirms that Mogotio constituency is a gem,” the elated MP said during a dinner at the school.

The optimistic MP assured the champion that his office was committed to support his talent to allow him achieve his dreams.

He said Emining High School stands a chance to become a talent haven with it being talent pool and a destined center of excellence institution.
