Coast regional Teachers Service Commission (TSC) director, Mrs. Victoria Muoka told Education News in her office in Mombasa town recently that the training of the recruited teachers is ongoing in the area and some teachers have already been trained and posted to schools in the region.

She further disclosed that the training of the teachers will therefore enhance effective teaching and learning respectively in the Junior Secondary Schools.

The director however revealed that the teachers have been distributed in the six counties in Coast region as follows here below:

  1. Kilifi County 824 Teachers,

However, Mrs. Muoka advised parents in the region to take all their school age children to school without fail, now that teachers have been deployed to schools to offer quality education to the young children in the Junior Secondary Schools in the area.

She asked teachers in the region to be dedicated to their work by ensuring that they offer quality education to children, hence complete the syllabus early enough to pave way for revisions in all subjects

“You should therefore complete the syllabus by the latest June, this year,” the director told teachers in the region.

She also urged parents in the area to cooperate fully and ensure that their school children remain in schools always for effective learning.

However, Mrs. Muoka asked the parents to ensure that their school children maintain a high standard of discipline, noting that discipline is the only key factor towards the success of their children’s final national examinations.

The director told education stakeholders to cooperate fully and support schools so as to make school programmes a success in the region.
