Kenya Primary School Heads Association (KEPSHA) Kangundo Branch Chairperson John Ndambuki has asked parents with students sitting for their national examinations to give them ample time to revise and rest.
Speaking after the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) rehearsals, Ndambuki urged parents to ensure their candidates are well-fed and taken care of.
They should also not burden them with too many chores during the exam period.
“Don’t let them stay out late and don’t burden them with chores. You will have them for two months but during these exams please just let them revise,” he urged.
He also urged parents to be wary of con artists claiming to have the exam leakages saying that any type of cheating will not be condoned.
“Don’t fall for those claiming to have the exam answers. Be wary of such characters and ignore them. Your children are well prepared and we have maximum trust and hope that they will make us proud,” he said.
He confirmed that in the sub county, 2,979 candidates shall sit for the exams in 66 centers.
