Deputy police boss cautions parents against exam ‘leakage’ conmen

Athi River Deputy County Commissioner Charles Wambugu has warned parents against entertaining people claiming to sell national exams leakage.

Addressing the press in Athi River, Wambugu clarified that the exam has not leaked and any attempt to cheat will be handled stringently.

He said that everything is in place to ensure the exams begin without any problem in all the 194 centers in the sub county.

“As you are aware, we have three examinations and in total, we have 15,000 candidates. We are not inventing the wheel in trying to manage the exams, we have done it over the last four years or so. The message is clear for the government has mobilized its machinery to deal with mischief from either parents or conmen,” he said.

“The guidelines are very clear, if you have no business in the centers you should keep off. This time we don’t expect any attempt by anyone to interfere with the exams. Let’s give our children a chance to do the exams and get the results they deserve,” he added.

He called for stakeholders to do their jobs and take responsibility of their blunders instead of pointing fingers.
