A modern Students’ Centre has been launched at Kibabii University to provide space for students to play indoor games, research and host a number of offices.

The building which was funded by the government through the Ministry of Education at a tune of Ksh. 83 million was officially launched by the University Vice Chancellor (VC) Prof. Ipara Odeo.

Speaking during the launch, Odeo lauded the government for building the Centre which will offer a platform for students to carry out their research and other activities.
“The facility will provide space for offices, act as a playing ground for indoor games, offices for the Students Governing Council, shops, salons and barber shops. Also some departmental heads will now transfer to this new building so we utilize it fully,” he added.

The VC stated that Student Council now has a boardroom where it will host its meetings.
The Dean of Students and the Chaplain’s office will also be located in the building.
He urged the varsity fraternity to utilize the facility fully since it is a massive investment and it has also changed the face of the school.
