A senior Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) officer has died days before marking of Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations commence.
The late, Mr Livingston Obada, until his demise was a teacher at Busia township secondary school.
He was a Chemistry paper two examiner and a team leader and a SMASSE trainer. SMASSE is programme of excellence in the coordination of teacher capacity development in secondary school education in Kenya.
The news of his passing was conveyed to the teaching fraternity by Busia KUPPET branch Executive Secretary Mr. Moffat Okisai who wished his family strength during this hard time and revealed that the late was battling with diabetes.
The examiner was expected to mark the Chemistry paper 2 in the KCSE marking that will commence in April.
