36 adult learners in Kwale County will sit for 2021 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) as private candidates, Education News has reliably established.
Kwale county director of adult education, Mr. David Thengele, said that 3 learners will sit for KCPE while 33 will sit for KCSE.
He urged the adult learners who have registered for the national examinations to concentrate seriously on their studies in order achieve good results.
He further asked adult education teachers in the county to ensure that they prepare their learners adequately for the examinations.
Mr. Thengele urged parents in the area to cooperate fully and support adult education programmes.
He also urged parents to encourage their children who dropped out of school to join literacy centers near them in large numbers.
“Rapid development in the county actually needs educated people who will be charged with the responsibility of designing, planning and implementing community development projects”, he explained.
