A somber mood engulfed Malava constituency in Kakamega county after the body of Lwandeti high school teacher who had gone missing was found in a sugarcane plantation.
Absolom Milimo,27, who disapeared for two weeks in unclear circumstances was a hard-working and dedicated teacher who served the community.
Speaking to journalists Edith Milimo, a family spokesperson appealed to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) to intervene and bring the killers to book.
“Absolom was the only person whom we depended on, I and the entire family are very frustrated about his death. The police should conduct speedy investigations to unmask the perpetrators behind his death,” he said.
Edith added that the family was distressed after receiving information that their keen’s body had been found decomposing in a sugarcane plantation at Malava after being killed by unknown assailants.
Confirming the incident area Assistant chief John Chisembe asked family members to remain calm as police officers launched investigations to establish the cause of death and arrest the killers.
