PS asks teachers, learners to observe Covid-19 protocols in schools

The PS for Basic Education Dr. Belio Kipsang has urged teachers and learners to take necessary measures as schools reopen amid myriad problems brought about by the pandemic.  

In a statement seen by Education News, Dr. Belio Kipsang asked teachers and learners to comply with the set Covid-19 protocols.  

“You must wear masks properly and wash your hands as frequently as possible to protect yourselves, fellow students, teachers and parents” read the statement.

He, however, asked teachers to be at the forefront in observing the set protocols.

The PS was speaking at Ngong Township Primary School and later Catholic Diocese Ngong Secondary School in Kajiado County. He was accompanied by Kajiado Deputy County Commissioner Mr. Patrick Mwangi and the sub-county Director of Education Mr. Mutugu Njoroge.

On the issue of FPE and FDSE, the PS affirmed that the government has already released 15billion shillings to public primary and secondary schools, therefore, urged school heads to put in place necessary measures to curb the spread of the virus.
