A 78-year-old man in Juba, South Sudan, has appealed to well-wishers and members of the public for assistance after his wife gave birth to triplets.
Kuot Kiir Deng, a resident of Juba, said his family is facing financial difficulties following the arrival of the three newborns, who were delivered at Juba Teaching Hospital on September 3, 2026.
The babies were born to his wife, Nyanut Anyar, in a development that has left the family struggling to meet the immediate needs associated with caring for three newborns at the same time.
According to medical reports, the delivery is among the 20 recorded cases of triplets reported in South Sudan since the beginning of the year, highlighting the rarity of multiple births in the country.
Family seeks essential supplies
The family says it urgently requires essential supplies, including infant formula, diapers, clothes and financial support to meet medical and post-natal care expenses.
Deng has appealed to individuals, charitable organisations, community groups and other well-wishers in Juba and beyond to come to the family’s aid during what he described as a challenging period.
The family is seeking both material and financial assistance, while also welcoming visits and prayers as they adjust to the demands of raising the three newborns.
The appeal comes as the family faces the added responsibility of ensuring that the infants receive adequate nutrition, medical attention and other basic necessities during their early days.

Well-wishers willing to support the family have been urged to reach out directly to Kuot Kiir Deng or through community networks assisting families in need in Juba.
