57 Tenwek High students get education courses at varsity

A total of 354 learners who sat for KCSE examinations last year at Tenwek High School, have been placed by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central placement Service (KUCCPS) to pursue different courses in various universities across the country.

Out of the 354 students, 57 have been placed by the agency to study Bachelor of Education in universities.

The giant school also saw 50 former students selected to study for the Bachelor of Engineering related courses in both public and private varsities as other 52 learners selected to study Bachelors of Science courses (BSC) and other courses.

In the field of Medicine, which includes the Bachelors of Medicine and Surgery, Pharmacy, Dental Surgery, Clinical Medicine, Medical Lab and Microbiology, Nursing, Optometry and Vision Science, Public Health and Community Health a total number of 65 students from the school were placed in different universities.

Other courses like; Bachelor of Computer Science had 24 sudents Information Technology (23), Arts (18), Commerce and Software Development received 13 students respectively, Economics (7), Actuarial Science (5), Journalism(4), Real Estate (3), Development Studies (2), Quantity Surveying, Criminology will both received one student each.

Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) for Tourism Wilson Sossion among others has been mentoring the Tenwek High students.

He is also the former students of the school.
