134, 743 selected to join public universities in September

A total of 258, 935 last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates have been placed in all programmes offered for placement in the Kenya Universities and Collages Central Placement Services (KUCCPS) 2024/2025 cycle.

The public universities across the country have received a total of 134, 743 students, while the private universities have received a sum of 18, 558 students.

The agency also placed a sum of 734 students in Diploma Secondary Teachers Training College.

For the Ministry of Education Technical and Vocational Education Training institutions, 63, 921 students have been placed there.

For non MoE TVET, the agency has placed a sum of 3, 963 students. University TVET have received 7, 834 students.

The Kenya Medical Training Colleges, the agency places a total of 19, 653 students for this cycle, similarly, the TTC (Primary) will receive a total of 9, 529 students when admission kicks off.

Bachelor of Education attracted the highest number of applicants as per the agency.

Male applicants continued to dominate placement to degree programmes, sustaining a trend that has been observed since the beginning of the central placement system.

To check placement results, the students should log into the students portal: students.kuccps.net.

Log-in requirements include the applicant’s KCSE Index Number, the applicant’s KCSE year and the password.

Once students log in to their accounts, they will be informed of the learning institutions where they have been placed and the courses they have been selected to undertake on the dashboard.

No charges are enforced in checking results on the portal. One only needs to have data bundles or be connected to the internet through a Wi-Fi connection.

“KUCCPS congratulates all the candidates whose placement report has been released today. Log in to students.kuccps.net to check the details of your university and college placement,” KUCCPS stated in a notice in their official website on X formally Twitter.
