- The event will feature music, dancing, freestyle rap and other student talent showcases.
- The Students’ Governing Council says the bash will help learners connect as the semester begins.
Students at the University of Kabianga are set to usher in the new academic semester with an opening semester bash organised by the institution’s 11th Students’ Governing Council (SGC).
The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the University Pavilion, where it will run from 6pm until dawn.
In a notice issued to students on September 14, the SGC said the event is aimed at bringing students together for an evening of entertainment, music and talent showcases as they officially welcome the new semester.
Students with talents in singing, dancing and freestyle rapping have been invited to participate in competitions during the bash. Interested students have been asked to register through WhatsApp, calls or SMS using the contact provided by the organisers.
The council encouraged students to turn up and enjoy the event with their colleagues, promising an evening of entertainment and talent presentations.
Talent showcase lined up
The event is being coordinated by the SGC Secretary for Sports and Entertainment, Ondah Mark D, and Chairperson Silas Kipkorir Too.
The bash comes as students begin a new semester at the University of Kabianga, with the student leadership seeking to promote interaction and engagement among learners through extracurricular activities.

The organisers urged students to participate responsibly and make the event an opportunity to build camaraderie and create memorable experiences as they embark on the new academic period.
