The University of Embu has signed a pact with the East African Portland Cement (EAPC) that will see it partner in areas of research and innovation to raise the standards of education at the institution.

The agreement will feature joint research and innovation ventures that will also embrace corporate social responsibility and capacity building. As part of the deal, workshops and conferences will be organized jointly by the two corporates to showcase and promote their products to a world that is now highly competitive and tech-savvy.

EAPC Managing Director Oliver Kirubai, unveiling the plan during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), said the deal will mutually benefit the two organizations.

“We have invested in modern technology to enhance research and innovation. Our products now will excite our customers as the partnership will promote efficiency through proper research,” he said.

EAPC is currently expanding its reach to customers in various niches and locations to claim its market share. The agreement is part of its 5-year strategic plan to reinvent itself.
