Union queries rush in new curriculum

The Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) West Pokot Branch has warned over rush to implement the new education curriculum.
The union said teachers in the county are not ready for the new education curriculum because it has a lot of hiccups.
County Knut Secretary Martin Sembelo  urged the Ministry of Education to consult widely, train teachers and provide materials for teachers to understand the new curriculum.
Sembelo said that he supports the new curriculum review process but should be done gradually.
“It will take time for teachers to familiarise with the new system”, said Sembelo. – Daniel Lokwang
