Ugenya High School students have taken to the streets to protest the transfer of Chief Principal Clement Nyang’acha.
The thousands of students thronged the Kisumu-Busia highway and brought business to a standstill at Ugunja town while protesting the Principal’s transfer.
Embattled St. Marys Yala Chief Principal Olando Bonventure is supposed to take over Ugenya High School after failing to be welcomed in Kisii County’s Riokindo High School.
Clement Nyang’acha has been reportedly transferred to Kebirigo High in Nyamira County.
The Siaya County Education management team led by County Education Director Oyucho and the Security Management team moved hastily to quell the tension and resolve the stalemate.
