Two more Technical Vocational and Training Centres (TVETs) will soon be established in Mombasa county.
Mombasa County director of Vocational Training Mwangi Gichuhi says the centres will be built at Mwakirunge and Likoni.
Currently, there are two TVETS in the county, namely Hadija Vocational Training Centre in Kisauni, which has 150 students, and Mtongwe in Likoni, with 490 students.
He asked parents in the region to encourage their children to join TVETS to acquire skills which can empower them.
He said Vocational Training Centres prepare the youth for self-employment.
