The Technical and Vocational Education and Training Curriculum Development, Assessment and Certification Council (TVET CDACC) has pushed forward the registration deadline for the July/August 2026 Assessment Series to June 3, 2026, citing numerous requests from institutions that were yet to complete the process.

This has given the Technical and vocational trainees and their institutions a fresh window to complete candidate registrations for Kenya’s upcoming national assessments, as the examining body also moves to release critical examination materials within days.

In a related development, the council said cutting lists and practical assessment tools for all cycles will be made available on its portal from May 25 to May 31, 2026, giving institutions a narrow but defined window to access the materials ahead of the examinations.

The council said its decision to extend the registration deadline was informed by the volume of requests received from assessment centers, and urged institutions to use the additional time to ensure all eligible candidates are captured in the system.

“Institutions are strongly advised to take advantage of this window to complete any pending registrations,” the council said in a notice signed by Chief Executive Officer  (CEO) Prof. Kisilu Kitainge.

For institutions preparing candidates under the Cycle 03 modularized curricula, the council confirmed that practical assessment tools will cover Module I through Module IV in the July/August 2026 series.

Assessment centers will access the cutting lists and practical tools through the TVET CDACC portal by navigating to the Cutting Lists and Practical Tools tabs on the Assessment Tools module. Additional resources including datasets, videos, presentations and images required for practical assessments will be posted on each center’s dashboard.

The council noted that access will be restricted to courses and units of competence for which candidates have been successfully registered in the July/August 2026 series, and that the materials on individual center portals will reflect valid candidate registration data.
