The Teachers Service Commission has promoted a total of 761 teachers in Kisumu County, it has been revealed.
County TSC Director Dr Samuel Marigat said the promoted teachers have started receiving their promotion letters.
The 761 teachers are part of 36,505 teachers across the country promoted by TSC early this month.
Speaking at Bishop Abiero Secondary School during a breakfast meeting Dr Marigat said he has dispatched letters for C1 to C4 which will be followed by D1 then D3 and finally D5.
Dr Marigat said all the deserving cases have been looked into.
Earlier KUPPET Kisumu County Executive Secretary Zablon Awange had urged the government to promote all deserving cases.

He said the government should allocate more funds for employing more teachers.
Awange who was present at the breakfast meeting slammed the government to slashing capitation funding per student.
