TSC CEO Dr Nancy Macharia to retire on June 30 after 10 years of service

Teachers Service Commission (TSC) CEO Dr Nancy Njeri Macharia has confirmed she will leave office on June 30, 2025, concluding a decade of leadership that brought notable reforms to Kenya’s education sector.

In a statement posted on the official TSC Facebook page and X, Dr. Macharia expressed pride in the strides made during her tenure.

“As I end my ten-year service as the TSC Chief Executive, on 30th June 2025, I can only look back with an incredible tinge of satisfaction for the milestones achieved in the teaching service,” said Dr Nancy Njeri Macharia, CBS.

Her tenure in the Upper Hill office has seen increased teacher management systems, increased recruitment, and improved accountability frameworks.

Dr. Macharia also championed continuous professional development and played a key role in adapting the teaching workforce to support the Competency-Based Education. Her exit signals the end of a defining chapter at TSC.
