West Pokot political leaders in the county and former teachers showed solidarity with their colleague who lost her husband this week.
Samwel Moroto MP, Kapenguria Constituency, Peter Lochakapong MP, Sigor Constituency, and Rael Aleutum, Woman Rep. West Pokot County, visited Mrs James Lukwo, a former and legendary teacher who taught at Nasokol, Tartar Kamorow, and Makutano Primary schools.
Moroto was a head teacher and KNUT Executive at the West Pokot Branch. Hon. Lochakapong was once a senior principal at Kapenguria Boys High School. At the same time, Rael Aleutum was a senior Principal at Totum Mixed Secondary school before going into politics.

Mrs Lukwo lost her husband, the late James Lukwo, who served as a county Counsellor in West Pokot County in the 1970s and 1980s.
He also served as the Kalenjin Chairman of the Council of Elders in the 1990s.
He is credited with valuing education, as his son, Anthony Lukwo, studied in India, his daughter, Alice Lukwo, worked in MTRH in Eldoret City, Lea Lukwo, a former teacher at Chewoyet Boys National School, studied abroad and currently works there, and Damaris Lukwo is a lawyer in Nairobi.
I have attached photos of the Samwel Moroto MP, Kapenguria Constituency, Hon. Peter Lochakapong MP, Sigor Constituency, and Hon. Rael Aleutum, Woman Representative, West Pokot County.
