Teachers under the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) in Transmara are set to converge on Tuesday, 23rd, for a pivotal branch meeting at the Mogondo Technical Training Institute, starting at 10am.
The meeting, convened by the Transmara Branch Secretariat, comes at a critical moment as the union prepares for its forthcoming elections.
All aspirants for various KNUT positions are expected to attend, giving members a rare opportunity to engage directly with those seeking to lead the union.
According to the branch leadership, the forum will focus on consultation, unity, and strengthening internal democracy, while also allowing members to deliberate on key union matters affecting teachers in the region.
KNUT members have been urged to turn up in large numbers and on time, emphasising that the meeting is strictly for registered union members. Organisers say strong attendance will reflect the maturity and solidarity of teachers in Transmara.
“This is our union, our responsibility, and our collective future,” reads part of the mobilisation message, calling on members to actively participate and safeguard the interests of the teaching fraternity.
The meeting is expected to play a significant role in shaping the direction of the Transmara KNUT Branch ahead of the elections, with unity and informed participation taking centre stage.
