Students at Taita Taveta University have expressed concern over the delay in the release of their end-of-semester examination results, saying the prolonged wait is causing anxiety and uncertainty.
The students say they are yet to receive their results despite completing their examinations several weeks ago.
They also claim that the university has not issued any official communication explaining the delay or indicating when the results will be released.
According to the students, many universities across the country began releasing their semester examination results as early as June, enabling learners to plan for subsequent academic activities.
However, Taita Taveta University students say they remain in the dark over the status of their results.
Students fear disruption to academic plans
Some students have voiced fears that the delay could disrupt academic planning, including applications for scholarships, industrial attachment opportunities and preparation for the next semester.
They have urged the university management to provide a clear timeline for the release of the results and to communicate regularly with learners to ease growing anxiety.
“We understand that examination results must go through moderation and approval processes, but students deserve timely communication on what is happening,” one student said.
The delay has sparked discussions among students on social media, with many calling on the institution to improve communication whenever there are unavoidable delays in processing examination results.
The students noted that the prompt release of results is essential in helping them monitor their academic progress, make informed decisions about their studies and meet deadlines for academic and financial aid requirements.

As concerns continue to mount, students are now appealing to the university administration to address the matter urgently by providing an official update on the status of the examination results and the expected date of their release.
