Students who scored As in 2022 KCSE to pursue courses of choice

The last year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KSCE) examination candidates who managed to attain grade A plain and A- (Minus) have a reason to smile after Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement (KUCCPS) announced that they have been given top priorities in choices of courses.

This is according to CEO Mercy Wahome after KUCCPS gave an update yesterday on the application of courses for the 2022 KCSE candidates.

“Students who got A and A- can sit for any programme. They can choose any course under the sciences and arts category,” Wahome said while speaking at Kirinyaga University career day.

At the same time, students with Grade C+, B minus, B plain, and B +,  KUCCPS has announced that they will be confined to cluster points.

Speaking on the arrangement to open the portal, which has been long overdue, she said that when everything will be ready all stakeholders will be notified when the process commences.

Also, she asked the students to work hand in hand with the teachers to guide and help them in choosing courses that they were passionate about. This is after the agency claimed that only last year’s candidates will be allowed to apply for undergraduate courses.
