Students at Chebukuyi High School in Bungoma County staged protests over what they described as poor learning conditions, citing a shortage of toilets, inadequate number of teachers and lack of extra study time.
The learners, who expressed frustration over the situation, said the challenges have negatively affected both their academic performance and general welfare in school.
During the demonstrations, students called on education authorities and school management to urgently address the issues affecting the institution.
According to the students, the shortage of sanitation facilities has created congestion and discomfort within the school while the lack of enough teachers has strained learning in several subjects.
