Students benefit from Equity Leaders Programme

Forty six top KCSE students from Mt Kenya region have benefited with the Equity Leaders Programme.
The students from 13 counties in the region make part of the over 19,000 scholars that have benefited from the educational programme to date.
The students drawn from Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Embu, Kitui, Machakos, Makueni, Nyandarua, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a and Kiambu counties have joined Equity Bank’s Paid Internship Progamme.
The scholars are part of the 371 top students selected to join the programme this year from all parts of the country.
“During the internship the scholars were exposed to a high performing environment and are taught the values of hard work, work ethics, customer service/communication skills, integrity and professionalism,” said General Manager Operations Central region, Alfred Mwangi.
He the scholars received their admission letter for the Equity Bank’s Paid Internship Progamme that runs for 9-18 months during the period between high school and university and the long vacations.
“The internship programme will see each of the scholars earn Sh 40,000 per month, monies that will to put them through their first year of university,” he added.
