Kenya National Union of Teachers now wants the Ministry of Education and Teachers Service Commission to strengthen training of teachers in guidance and counseling.
Samuel Omwaga, the union chair in Uriri, Awendo and Rongo sub-counties, said it is high time the ministry thinks of investing in guidance and counseling training of teachers to help cub the rising issues of indiscipline and relationships among learners.
Omwaga noted that the reasoning of the current generation is different and has transformed therefore there is need to improve on approach used in handling them and their issues.
