St Joseph Boys High School, famously known as JOBO, delivered yet another commanding performance as they sailed into the semi-finals of the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Term Two games with a 3-1 triumph over Kirangari High School. The match, played at Kakamega High School grounds, was a showcase of JOBO’s class, composure, and attacking prowess.
JOBO’s goals came from their sensational forward, Instin Simiyu, the ever-reliable Collins Mwalati, and the dynamic Gabriel Silali. Simiyu, who has now netted six goals in the tournament, continues to dazzle fans and scouts alike with his lethal finishing and intelligent play.
Kirangari’s lone goal came from Lucas Kiok, a former JOBO student, but it was merely a consolation against the dominant Rift Valley giants.
JOBO’s fluid football, solid teamwork, and tactical brilliance have made them the team to watch in this year’s competition.
Their unbeaten run and goal-scoring form have earned them admiration across the country, with many tipping them as firm favourites to lift the national title.
The boys from St. Joseph will now face Agai Mixed Secondary School from the Nyanza region in the semifinals.
