The elites from South Mugirango Constituency have endorsed Mr. Dennis Makori to vie for the parliamentary seat.
Led by Prof. Constantine Nyamboga, the professionals blamed their current MP Mr. Sylivanus Osoro for neglecting to support relevant education projects in the area.
“We want a member of Parliament who can mobilize resources to erect good modern classrooms for our children,” he said.
The educationist cited Egetonto Primary School whose roofs were leaking until the Cabinet Secretary for Security and Co-ordination of National Government Dr. Fred Matiang’i came in to rescue the situation by steering a funds drive where more than Sh1 million were raised for the school.
They further criticized the incumbent over his movements in leading political campaigns at the other parts of the country, leaving his area wanting.
Concerning the endorsement of Mr. Makori, they lauded his deeds saying that he has assisted in the construction of modern schools like Nyabigena Girls School and Monianku ELCK Secondary School.
“We want to empower him to go to Parliament to be in a better position to provide us with services,” remarked Dr. Martin Lumumba.
Mr. Dennis Makori is an I CT expert and prominent business man in Nairobi.
He vied for the South Mugirango parliamentary seat in 2017 but came second after Hon. Sylivanus Osoro.
