At least 300 hand washing containers donated by UNICEF have been distributed to various primary schools which are highly populated in Elburgon.
Nakuru County Health CEC Dr. Kariuki Gichuki said the containers would help fight and control the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking during the exercise at Sokoro Primary School, Dr Gichuki said many schools in the area are in dire need of hand washing containers and water.
Some of the schools that received 200 litres hand washing containers include Orthodox and PCEA Primary schools which have over 1,200 learners, St Peters’ Boys, St Peters’ Girls, and DEB Primary School among others.
