Schools in Nyanza asked to unlock students’ potential

Students have been urged to bring their best out in whatever they do so that they can excel in life.
West Mugirango MP, Steve Mogaka who opened Nyanza Regional Drama Festival at Senator Kebaso High in Nyamira County told the teachers to discover students’ talents early and start to coach them to so that they can reach their maximum potential.

“Most of the world’s artists started at school by reclining to drama and grew with it to be professionals,” he said.The event will showcase drama, songs and dances, comedies, verses and mimes.

Nyamira County director of Education Peter Kega told students to be of good conduct by creating rapport among themselves and the public during their stay in Nyamira.

“We are working hand in hand with the security organs to make sure that you are not threatened by anything during the festivals,” she said.

This year’s drama festival whose theme is ‘unlocking opportunities for socio-economic transition through drama and film’ is being attended by schools from Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii and the hosts Nyamira.
