Rugby heavyweights clash in quarter-final at Western school games

Rugby heavyweights face off at Chavakali High School in the ongoing Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) Western region games.

Vihiga Boys will face Mundika Boys as Bungoma Boys clash with Kakamega Boys in the quarters. Chavakali Boys will be playing against Butula Boys as Kimobo Friends Secondary square it with Koyonzo Boys.
The rugby games which started on March 21, witnessed Vihiga Boys lead in pool A as Koyonzo boys in pool B.

In pool A,Vihiga Boys won 15-05 against Bungoma Boys as Kakamega Boys and Mundika Boys settled for barren draw of 0-0.

In the second round, Vihiga Boys beat Kakamega Boys 17-11 as Bungoma Boys defeated Mundika 12-7.
In pool B, Chavakali won 17-3 against Kimobo Friends Secondary School while Koyonzo boys score 11-08 against Butula Boys.

In the second round, Koyonza Boys score 23-0 against Chavakali as Butla shine 38-3 against Kimobo Friends.

The Western Region Secondary Schools Sports kicked off on Wednesday 20, 2024 and officially opened by the Western Region Secondary School Sport Association, (WRSSSA) Chairman Martin Wasua at Nyang’ori Boys High School in Vihiga County.

The winning teams from all the games categories will be representing the region at nationals which will be held at Machakos Boys and girls on April 6-14, 2024.
