Riara University is now a fully accredited higher learning institution, having been awarded a charter by President William Ruto.
Speaking at the State House today after awarding the institution the charter, President Ruto lauded the institution for its commitment to improving the quality of higher education in the country.

The president also lauded the Riara Group founders, Daniel Gachukia and Prof Eddah Gachukia, for their exemplary impact and legacy.
Awarding the two founders with Elder of the Order of the Burning Spear (EBS).
He said the founder’s legacy will leave an indelible mark on education.
The head of state noted that their work over the past 50 years has positively shaped the landscape of Kenya, teaching and learning, touching thousands of lives and positively affecting the destinies of many.
The new status will enable the institution to expand its programmes, enhance its research capabilities, and continue to produce graduates who are suitable for the industry.
