Renowned educator who minded the poor dies in Kirinyaga

The late Pauline Njagi

The education fraternity has been thrown into mourning following the death of an educationist Pauline Njagi, the proprietor of Ebenezer College in Kutus.

Mourners described Njagi as one of her kind who ensured even the poor got an education.

A former principal at Karoti Girls in the early 90’s before her retirement, she saw majority of girls get education despite their family backgrounds.

Narc-Kenya party leader Martha Karua said that when she sought someone to chair the Gichugu CDF, having heard of her integrity, she approached her and she took the position and worked passionately.

She said the messages from her former students is an indication of what kind of an administrator she was; loving and caring despite being a strict disciplinarian.

“The messages I am getting from her former students depicts her reputation in the education sector,” Karua added.
