The Ministry of Education has announced that the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) results which were set for release today have been postponed to the second week of January 2024.

This will come as a heartbreak for many parents, candidates and schools who had braced for the results  before the New Year.

Education Cabinet Secretary, Ezekiel Machogu said this decision was taken in order to provide examiners humble time to verify and validate the results and ensure that candidates get credible marks.

Machogu also took the opportunity to apologize to parents, candidates and schools for the delay and called on them to be patient as the examiners do a thorough review of the scripts to reduce possible errors.

According to KNEC, a total of 903,260 candidates sat this year’s KCSE exams the country.
