Tony Oure, a Form Two student at Rapogi High School in Migori County, is dead. The late Oure was taken ill immediately after sitting his end term examination on Tuesday 15th October, 2019.
He first reported mild throat pains and was given some drugs by the school nurse. A day later, the pain persisted and was taken to St Monica hospital where he begun developing breathing difficulties.
The Hospital alerted the school Principal Maurice Otunga and requested for quick transfer to St Joseph Ombo in Migori where his condition deteriorated. Oure passed on while undergoing treatment while accompanied of his parents. Doctors diagnosed him with acute pharyngitis.
