PROGRESSING STORY: CS Ogamba, kipchumba Murkomen in conflict-prone Narok, Kisii border to preach peace

The Cabinet Secretary  for Education, CS Ogamba,  together with his counterpart in Internal Security, Kipchumba Murkomen, are among the prominent government officials who have arrived in Kiango town along the Kisii-Transmara common border to pacify the communities that have been fighting over cattle theft and land ownership.

The two CSs, who are leading the peace meeting, are expected to propose long-lasting solutions to the skirmishes that have led to the loss of four lives and property worth millions of shillings.

The CS for Education is also expected to address the fate of the new university funding model, the long-promised provision of a school by the President to St. Mary’s Nyabiore Girls’ Secondary School, and a visit to Ritembu Secondary School, whose dormitory was burned yesterday, leaving more than 135 students without beddings.
