Police are investigating a case of assault against a Form 3 student by four teachers of Baringo High School in Eldama Ravine, Baringo County.
According to police reports, the student was nursing serious injuries after being subjected to corporal punishment for three consecutive days at the school.
Koibatek Sub-county Police Commander Joseph Ongaya said they have already obtained a medical examination report of the minor and investigations are ongoing.
The school has not issued any statement in connection with the assault.
Corporal punishment was outlawed by government and teachers are required to follow the laid down procedures of alternative punishment that include counselling.
