Plight of boy-child raises concern

Kisii education stakeholders are up in arms over the plight of the boy-child in the county.
Kisii County Education Chairman, Dr Henry Nyabuto Onderi  raising concern on the matter urged parents, guardians, teachers and churches to assist the boy-child, saying the high drop-out rate of the boy-child was alarming.
Speaking to Education News Onderi said some parents were allowing boys to join the Boda Boda bikes business and to engage in other activities instead of learning.
Dr Nyabuto, who is also the director at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology Kisii Campus, urged parents to invest in the education of their children.
